Repair Approval Process We accept repairs in our showroom during all business hours. If you require a repair by mail, then please notify us in writing for a repair authorization code (RP number) for your package. Any packages sent without the RP number will be returned. Please address all requests for repairs to: contact@dumontestatejewelry.com with the subject heading "repair". Note the nature of the repair in detail (pictures are preferred) and provide us with your purchase receipt number as well as the item number. Once you receive your RP number, please mail your package to: DuMont Estate Jewelry Item must be shipped within 14 days of receiving the RP number. Please pack jewelry in a well-padded container and ship using UPS or USPS. Shipping insurance is not required but recommended. DuMont Estate Jewelry is not responsible for damages or loss incurred during return shipping. You will receive the estimated charges and completion date after your jewelry is received and evaluated. You must reply to this email within 7 calendar days with your approval or denial of the estimate for repair work to begin. What We Repair We offer repair services for all items purchased from DuMont Estate Jewelry unless the nature of the repair requires it to be sent elsewhere. Please note that we do not offer repair services for items not purchased from DuMont Estate Jewelry. Repair&Shipping Charges You will be quoted/ notified of the repair charges prior to any work being done. DuMont Estate Jewelry will only send out the repairs after you agree to the quoted charges within 7 days of notification. In some cases, we cannot issue a quote until we have the bench jeweler examine the item. The customer is responsible for any and all repair charges. DuMont Estate Jewelry is not responsible for any repair charges unless in special cases where it is agreed upon at the time of purchase. This will be stated on the receipt. All return shipping charges are the customer’s responsibility and cannot be refunded. Return shipping charges of the finished repair are the customer’s responsibility and will be additional to any charges incurred for materials and labor. Turnaround Time Your jewelry will be repaired and returned to you as soon as possible. Repairs normally require 1-2 weeks- not including shipping time. We will try to accommodate rush deliveries; please keep in mind that it is not always possible. Note: We do not have a bench jeweler on site. All repairs are sourced to third parties.
